The Cisco Kid, the hero of over two dozen films, three radio series, and a long-running TV show, rides again in this high-spirited action adventure, created by O'Henry in 1907. Starring Jimmy Smits and Cheech Marin, the movie follows the journey of Cisco (Smits) and Pancho (Marin), two unlikely heroes who meet while escaping a French firing squad, as they battle their way to the governor's palace to recover El Nino, a stolen religious artifact that could cost Mexico the war if not returned.

In 1994, the Kid galloped back into action in this original TNT movie directed by La Bamba's Luis Valdez. With the juaristas locked in a life-and-death struggle with the armies of France, the fate of Mexico lies in the hands of Cisco and Pancho, who join forces to confront the French and retrieve the precious artifact.

Shot on location in Mexico, The Cisco Kid also features the eponymous titled track performed by Cheech Marin and War, an updated version of the band's 1972 hit. This high-spirited adventure showcases the timeless appeal of the Cisco Kid, as he and his sidekick Pancho navigate the political turmoil of the era, using their wit, courage, and resourcefulness to save their country from the threat of French occupation.

The film's dynamic performances, thrilling action sequences, and beautiful Mexican backdrops create a captivating and entertaining experience for viewers. As the Cisco Kid and Pancho race against time to recover the stolen artifact, the audience is drawn into the heart-pounding journey, rooting for the two unlikely heroes to succeed in their mission.

With its blend of classic storytelling and modern sensibilities, The Cisco Kid offers a fresh take on a beloved character, while paying homage to the original tales that have captivated generations of fans. The film's success in 1994 further solidified the Cisco Kid's enduring legacy as a symbol of heroism, adventure, and the enduring spirit of the Mexican people.
